Lake Broadway

What do you do when life gives you a 6 foot-deep, water-filled hole outside of your place of work?

Make paper boats!

It took me a moment to remember how, but after that, we got on a roll:

You can see clear to the bottom of our beautiful lake!
I decided there needed to be more color.

My coworker, SB, knows how to make cranes. This is Charles.

Along came Fred, aboard his steadfast vessel, Matilda. (Fishing cruises available!)

Merrily, merrily….Fred is off to adventure on the high seas!

Here are some links on how to make boats & cranes.* I'd love to see where these turn up! Email with photos of your urban boating adventures!

Also for fun: paper stars, which are a favorite of an artist I admire, Erika Moen. Here's a variation by Martha Stewart, another personal hero.
