An abomination resulting from a g-chat with Greg Titus about the movie Sharktopus. Just google it.

Skyscrapers

Pencil & ink. Might add a bit of color at a later date.

On Yak-Shaving and other distractions

The convoluted creative process.

Ironically, I found this while on Ursula Vernon's Livejournal entry about having so many ideas that none of them get completed.

I am newly-resolved to avoid yak-shaving. Thanks internets!

Guest Art & a New Medium

Behold: bathtub crayons. So many good ideas happen between shampooing & conditioning and yet there's no way to write it down! Until now, that is. This particular gem is courtesy of HK, who saw this design on a t-shirt. Clouds with discriminating taste prefer Name Tag beer, it seems.

More of my goodies to come!

Flashback: 2009

I've been undergoing a massive re-organization of my apartment, including a backlog of older artwork. Here are a few of the better pieces:

A concept splash page for a comic.
Unfinished portrait of Ganesh, Remover of Obstacles.

Bear with the photo-posts; I'm working on getting a scanner on the cheap. Thank god for Craigslist!

Newer shart coming soon....

testing...

Jumping back into art...

The purpose of this blog is to force me into creating. Nothing huge. Nothing Epic or Groundbreaking. I don't want to be the next Stan Lee or anything so lofty. It's art, technically, but it may be shitty.

This blog is to make me make things, for all to see. Good or bad, it's out there.

It is my hope that this will force me out of my self-consciousness of my flaws and into something consistent and meaningful. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be done.

As a wise woman once told me: "It's a process, not an event."

Welcome to my process.

Hope you enjoy.
